Which Revit versions are supported?
Revit 2019 through 2027, including two versions running side by side.
Do we need a server?
No. Kinetic uses an ordinary shared folder as its master drive — a network share you already have. There is nothing to host and nothing to administer.
How do users get updates?
They press Sync. The ribbon rebuilds in place without restarting Revit. Files that are in use at that moment are applied on the next start rather than failing.
Can we keep using our existing tools?
Yes. A tool is a normal Revit external command in a folder. Most existing tools need no code changes — only to be placed in the folder structure that builds the ribbon.
What happens when the trial ends?
The trial runs 15 days with the full product. After that the tools stop loading until a licence is activated. Nothing is deleted — your tools stay where they are.
